These terms cover train search, live status, station boards, fares, and PNR lookups on IndiaTrainStatus.
Please read this first
An independent site
IndiaTrainStatus is an independent website for looking up trains. It is not Indian Railways, the Ministry of Railways, IRCTC, or CRIS, and it is not their agent.
Train names such as Vande Bharat, Rajdhani, Shatabdi, and Tejas belong to their operators. They appear here so you can find the service, and for no other purpose.
Payments
None on this site
Ticket payment stays on IRCTC. We don't take cards, UPI, or fares.
Tickets
No reservations
This site cannot reserve a berth, change a coach, or cancel a ticket.

Using the site
Searching a train, opening a station board, checking a fare, or looking up a PNR means you are using IndiaTrainStatus on these terms. There is no account to create.
If you don't agree, stop using the pages. Nothing is stored in an account, because there isn't one.
Live status
Running status, location, delay, and platform details are the answer returned for that search. They can be behind the station, or ahead of a change that has not reached the data source yet.
A result can differ from the platform
- A train can be delayed or diverted after the page loaded
- A platform number can change at the station
- A cancellation can appear after you opened the result
- The page is a lookup, not a feed from the locomotive
For boarding, use the station announcement and the display on the platform.
Timetables and fares
Schedules, halts, and fares are shown as they come back from the data source. Indian Railways can revise a timetable, a halt, or a fare after that.
The pages are a convenience for reading that answer. They are not a promise that every intermediate time is current.
PNR lookups
A PNR check sends the 10-digit number so the status can be shown. Coach and berth details are whatever came back. You can turn recent lookups off on the privacy page.
Recent list
Up to four recent PNRs, with the train name, can stay in this browser. They are not filed in an account.
No booking from here
Cancellations, TDR, Tatkal booking, and chart changes are done on irctc.co.in or at a reservation counter.
Fair use
The tools are for a person looking up a train, a station, a fare, or a PNR.

Names and marks
The IndiaTrainStatus name and the layout of these pages belong to this site. Please don't copy the site and present it as Indian Railways or IRCTC.
Indian Railways names, crests, zone marks, and train titles remain theirs. We use them only to identify a train or a station in a result.
What this site is not responsible for
IndiaTrainStatus does not run trains and does not take payment. It is not responsible for:
A missed train. A platform, delay, or time on this site can differ from the station. Boarding decisions belong at the station.
Charts and berths. Coach, berth, and waitlist decisions are made by the railway. This site only shows the status it received.
IRCTC payments. Booking, cancellation, and payment errors on IRCTC, or any other site, are outside this page.
Questions
These terms describe this website. They are not a ticket contract with Indian Railways or IRCTC. A booking dispute belongs with IRCTC or the reservation counter.

Changes
If these terms change, the date at the top of this page changes with them. The copy on this page is the current version.
Using the site after that date means you are using it under the updated terms.
